In early April I reached out to Liberty Automotive about
In early April I reached out to Liberty Automotive about a used vehicle on their lot. Being from out of town, I had quite a bit of conversation with Julie Pasley, then Chris Greenlee, about the vehicle and we eventually agreed on a price. During this process, I was sent additional photos and a video of the vehicle and all of my questions specific to the vehicle were answered. Shortly after this, we began discussing my trade-in and found that management was under the impression that they were unable to take my vehicle as a trade-in as it was a lease. As a result of this, I unfortunately was unable to continue with the deal. Fast forward several days, I had made arrangements for my trade and reached back out to Chris who indicated that the vehicle was still available. I made the drive to Liberty and found the vehicle parked up front, full of gas, and recently detailed. After driving the vehicle there was a minor hiccup that Chris was able to quickly resolve with the service department. I then had to finalize my arrangements with my trade-in at another nearby location. After this, I needed a ride back to Liberty and asked Chris if they had someone who could pick me up. Chris found that they didn’t but offered to send an Uber to pick me up. Once I got back to Liberty, we finalized the deal which was an easy process and I made the two and a half hour drive home in my new vehicle. I later learned that Chris had stayed late to help me finalize everything. Since completing the sale, Chris followed through with his statement that he would try to get an additional key for the vehicle from the previous owner, not only getting the key, but also mailing it to me. Overall, what could have been a negative experience with this dealership, ended up with me feeling like it was a positive experience. I would purchase another vehicle from Liberty Automotive.

I visited Jeep Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to
I visited Jeep Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to purchase my leased vehicle as my lease end date was approaching. I originally worked with Chris Mitchell in 2023, and he reached out as my lease was ending. Prior to coming in, I had visited another Jeep dealership closer to me and was quoted a 10% interest rate, which I felt was very high. Because of that, I secured my own financing through Chase at a significantly lower approved rate. I also requested an out-the-door price from Liberty ahead of my visit so I could finalize my loan, but never received it. When I arrived, I explained to Chris Mitchell that I already had financing in place and simply needed the final numbers. He insisted that what I had from Chase was only a pre-approval, which was incorrect and confirmed several times by Chase directly. I forwarded it to him and after looking at it he realized that it was in fact an approval. Another guy came out (who I thought at the time was from financing but later realized he was only sales), Jerry Lopata and brought the figures. It included several unexplained fees beyond the buyout & taxes/ fees. There was a $1,500 fee that they said was their fee to process the documents and they also included a $1,600 clear coat charge. When I questioned it, he casually removed the clear coat charged but said $1,500 was their fee. After reviewing the corrected numbers, I contacted Chase to update my loan amount. At that point, Jerry told me Chase required a $7,000 down payment, despite never speaking with them and despite me already having full approval with clear terms. They continued to insist I completed another application with Jeep, even though Chase had told me that was unnecessary. After continued pressure, I just provided my info because they made me feel there was no other way. Jerry then came back claiming Chase had changed my interest rate to 9% and pushed a document in front of me claiming to be the approval from Chase. I immediately called Chase again, and they confirmed my approved rate was still 6.9%. They also told me someone from the dealership had called and was given the correct rate of 6.9%, and that my application had been submitted multiple times unnecessarily. I asked to go to financing so we could call Chase together to clear up the discrepancies, but Jerry refused, saying he didn’t have time to sit on the phone. I just wanted to buy the car and I had the approval but they wouldn't let me move forward. After nearly 3 hours of back-and-forth, conflicting information, and clear inconsistencies, I chose to walk out. I later spoke with Chase again, and they confirmed my approval was valid and ready to go, and could not explain why the dealership was providing different information. Overall, this experience felt extremely dishonest and misleading. It seemed like an attempt to take control of my financing and inflate my interest rate. This kind of behavior is exactly why dealerships have a negative reputation. I strongly caution others to be very careful when working with this dealership.

When I was a first speaking with our dealer, I told him my concern was a bunch of hard hits to my credit. My last car purchase had three hard hits and it took two years for them to fall off. He ASSURED me that they only do soft pulls and that with my credit (887) I would go to a premier lender. FOUR hard pulls. You have to be kidding me. Absolutely crazy for someone with a high score. Do better. Be truthful. My good experience was soured greatly with the alerts my phone was giving me the next 48 hours.
